Senior Node.js Developer

Work Format: On-site, Remote, Hybrid

Location: Bratislava, Slovakia

Requirements:

• 6+ years working with Node.js and Express for backend development

• Proficient in NestJS and TypeScript

• Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Knowledge of WebSockets and REST APIs

• Familiarity with messaging tools like BullMQ, RabbitMQ, etc.

• Awareness of security risks and strategies to mitigate them

Nice to have:

• Experience optimizing high-load systems

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Hands-on experience with BigQuery

• Knowledge of JavaScript and React.js

• Understanding of Docker/Docker Compose

• Intermediate English or higher

Responsibilities:

• Writing clean, efficient code

• Creating and updating documentation for code and architecture

• Collaborating with the team: developers, QA, designers, and Product Owner

• Ensuring security measures are in place

• Participating in planning sessions

• Tackling complex development challenges
